Irizar wraps up busy year

There will be no let up before Christmas for body builder and supplier Irizar as the deliveries keep rolling out across Australia before the year’s end.

Irizar’s Regional Sales and Marketing Manager Guy Pex says 2010 has been a very successful and exciting year for Irizar, adding that 2011 is shaping as bigger and better for the brand in both Australia and New Zealand.

Most recent deliveries include two Century 3900 luxury coaches to Australia Wide Coaches in NSW), with these coaches being on the new Euro 5 Scania K440 chassis with a 12 speed Opticruise 2-pedal operation transmission.

Pex says two Century 3700 mining coaches were also delivered to Rio Tinto in Western Australia, and will operate near Karratha, joining the three Irizar’s already in their fleet.

Single units were delivered to Sexton’s (NSW),Fun Over 50s (QLD), AAT Kings (NSW), Broadmeadows (VIC), Carbridge (NSW) Eagle Tours (NSW), Terry’s Tours (NSW) and Roadcoach (NSW), and of course Pope’s in Victoria who received the new Irizar-Volvo combo.

Eagle Tours and Roadcoach also took delivery of the first Irizar coaches on Iveco 6x2 Eurorider chassis, both with a 450HP 10L Euro 5 IVECO Cursor engine and a 12 speed ZF automatic transmission.

AAT Kings also received their first 13.5m Irizar Century 3900 luxury coach on a Scania K420IB chassis. This coach will be based at their Botany depot in Sydney.
